Carbon Footprint Reporting for Business
Take your first steps on the journey to Net Zero
We are partnering with CBN Expert and Future Net Zero to help businesses report, measure and benchmark their carbon footprint.
What is net zero?
Net zero refers to achieving a balance between the amount of greenhouse gas emissions produced and the amount removed from the atmosphere. Take advantage of our carbon footprint reporting for business tool and start your journey today.
Reporting your carbon footprint matters
Climate change is the biggest issue of our time and we are at a defining moment. We simply cannot afford to do nothing.
As a result, legislation was passed in June 2019 requiring the government to reduce the UK's net emissions of greenhouse gases to Net Zero by 2050.
This means companies of all sizes will need to take action and it all starts with reporting your business carbon footprint.
Why take action now?
If you are part of a large business’s supply chain, particularly ones that have public net zero pledges, you will be asked to go net zero.
UK legislation, SECR (Streamlined Energy & Carbon Reporting) stipulates that businesses with 250 employees or £36m turnover or £18m of balance sheet assets have to report on their energy and carbon. It is very likely that this legislation will be extended to smaller businesses.
If you are trading with the EU, you will be expected in the near future to be net zero to continue trading within the EU.
Going net zero will make you more profitable and sustainable in the medium-to-long term future.
